10% discount to returning students.

Workshops run from Friday night 7-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-3pm
Dates offered are subject to alteration to suit, and could be a weekday workshop if that is more convenient, all within a similar timeframe.

Kiln Fired Glass with Vivienne Bashford

Workshop Details
Date: 5 - 8 April 2009
Venue: Lochmara Lodge Arts Centre, Marlborough Sounds
Costs: material charge of $30 to $40, accomadation available (please contact the lodge for rates)

Course Description
This four day workshop covers decorating glass and kiln firing glass. The workshop will cover:
An introduction to kiln fired glass
Preparing sketch plans and mixing pigment
Application to recycled glass and creating a design plan
Working from different angles
Firing techniques and how to use a multi-purpose kiln
Using recycled glass and new glass
Discussion of possibilities for glass sculptures

At the end of the workshop, you will have several pieces to take home.
