RONDA TURK
Ronda lives in Horowhenua. Working from her home based studio, she paints contemporary works in many subjects. Oil is her favorite painting medium.
She returned to school as an adult student, completing a bursary in painting and undertaking commissioned sketching while raising a family. Her drawings are detailed, with a strong sense of light.
Around the same time she became involved with theater set design and painting, finding that the large, loose shapes required on a set created a balance between the two extreme styles. Ronda continued her education with The Learning Connexion, where she completed a diploma majoring in painting and drawing. Her painting has developed an intuitive style with a strong sense of space and tone.
