The NZ Art Guild is excited to be working with the Mental Health Foundation to enable individuals, whanau, organisations and communities to improve and sustain their mental health and realise their full potential.
20% of the proceeds from the sale of the NZ Art Guild's collaborative project "Reach Out" will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation.
This artwork will be exhibition at the annual members exhibition "Make it Memorable" at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna, Auckland July 1st - 30th. It will then be autioned off on Trademe July 19th - 29th.
88 artists have contributed to"Reach Out" by creating one small individual artwork. They were provided with the a small wooden panel and given a theme to paint to. The theme this year is “On your mind” and interpretation of this is entirely up to the artists. When all of these individual artworks are combined they create an overall image and a stunning one of a kind artwork measuring 1.3m x 1.5m.
The overall image of the collaborative artwork is kept secret, even from those participating in it, until the unveiling of the artwork on the opening night of the NZ Art Guild annual exhibition at the Bruce Mason Center 6:30pm Tuesday 1st July 2008.
Everyone is welcome to attend and entry is free.
