Feature Artist of the Week - Rachael Inch
Rachael Inch is a well established South Island artist who lives in Windwhistle, Canterbury. She has exhibited at many different venues including an exhibition at the Selwyn Gallery and the Arts Centre, Christchurch. Her original oil paintings grace the walls of over 200 homes and businesses throughout New Zealand and Internationally.
Using typical NZ Landscapes and Canterbury skies as a main concept, Rachael integrates her knowledge on colour therapy and uses her intuition to create her unique and original contemporary oil paintings. Rachael is promoted in the Arts Canterbury Guide, A member of the New Zealand Art Guild and she has been actively involved in the Malvern Community Arts Council for the past 6 years. She takes special interest in the Arts particularly in the Selwyn District, and regularly donates to local organisations for fundraising.
In addition to her paintings, Rachael has written and published her first book in 2008 “The Light of Te Pirita – conversations with John Inch, a man of the land.
Rachael's website, designed and created by her personally, has proven highly successful for sales over the past 5 years particularly with commissioned work. She has now been commissioned to recreate the Selwyn Gallery website.
Rachael Inch welcomes commissions and comments about her work.
