Invitation to: Reflections of Italy
In May 2010 10 New Zealand Artists spent time in Italy. They were exhibiting at the Legato Exhibition in Cassino - spreading the message of world peace and commemoration of the Battle of Cassino. 8 of these artists have come together again to share with you their artworks inspired by that journey.
Jon Stevenson, Sharlene Schmidt, Sophia Elise, Cath Sheard, Theresa Cashmore, Margherita Giampietri, Lorraine Beattie and France Rookes would like to invite you to join them at the opening night.

Painting for the stage ~ Linda Paul
NZ Art guild member Linda Paul spent the Christmas period Designing the backdrops for the successful Shakespeare play held at the Pumphouse on the North Shore, over Jan – Feb 2011. The canvas was 26ft by 7ft drop. It took Linda several days to complete, and it was a great success.

NZ Art Guild 2011 Challenge #5 ~ Best Friends ~
Every fortnight a challenge is issued to our guild members and also to members of our Facebook Fan page These challenges are completely voluntary. Submissions must be original and be completed during the 2 week time-frame. Participants may choose to interpret the theme in any way they wish. For this challenge artists were asked to create a work of art inspired by
Best Friends.
